Singapore is a metropolis that is constantly undergoing rapid change. The increase in urban development over the years demands for constant up keeping of the city’s infrastructure to support its expansion. This infrastructure composed of materials sourced from all around the world makes a different island from what it was in the past. Not only have our borders of the shores been altered, extended and brought in from other lands, many parts of our structures and building materials have been grafted and transposed to our island. Our concrete island is made up of many parts of the world put together. This work mirrors the physical features of the materials that make up our transient landscape.
